Fond of Funds
What a fun night! Thanks to The Oriental Hotel in Springwood for hosting what I am sure was a very successful evening of fundraising for the Lower Mountains under 15's Rugby League team. A fantastic line up, too! Performers included Bones & All, Three's Company, Batons Up, Lisalive, Crossroad and Jimi Jams. Our part commenced around 10.45, starting off with the Paul Kelly song "Dumb Things". We were initially pegged for two sets, but we figured 'what the heck' and just played right through our set list in one stint. The set went extremely well, with the dance floor filling up immediately. The occasion only slightly marred by the lack of our regular bassist, Steve Lacey. Filling the hole to quite an impressive extent was our mate Dan Pugliese. We all had our chops on, trying on shapes and the like. Knowing we only had one set made it quite fun, Dan and I said pretty much the same thing 'just getting warmed up here, do we have to stop now?'

Once again, a huge thanks to the Suspects for helping out.
I am still hearing the great feedback for the night.
The girls on the dance floor were disappointed when I had to ask for "one more only" before the last band kicked off.
Keep rocking the crowds!
