Lindeman's Indeed!!!!

The Usual Suspects played a very swish corporate function last night at the Lindeman's winery in Pokolbin in the beautiful Hunter Valley. The crowd were lovely and lively as they first enjoyed an acoustic set from moi (Dave) over dinner, followed by two blistering sets from the band. The sad part of the evening was that we didn't have Rod with us, but sitting in for the second time was Mr Richard Kenna...from the first note til the last Richard was on it. The band had only one rehearsal with Richard but that didn't stop the awesome lead solo's, the shapes and rock as Richard relaxed into it. Paul played fully solid and Steve was his usual impeccable self stretching the vocal chords on a new Robert Palmer song. My voice held up after a week long nasty throat infection and unlike the morning after last week (Harrigans), I could actually talk.

The next gig for the Suspects will be a fund raiser at The Oriental Hotel in Springwood on July 23rd...come on along and dance the night away...
